Ensuring A Green Planet

Our climate is something that affects us all. Protecting our environment and conserving resources are among the greatest challenges of our time. The Ulm-based company Beurer is aware of its responsibility for the future and has developed a comprehensive sustainability strategy – both at the product level and across the board at the company level.

Beurer defined specific areas of action that are aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN). One goals is, going forward, to develop long-lasting products which are made from sustainable materials with an optimal carbon footprint.

Now Beurer proudly presents its first sustainable heating product series – a milestone in the company’s more than 100-year history.

With the new Beurer “Green Planet” range, consisting of the HK 123 XXL Cosy Grey Green Planet Heat Pad, the HD 75 Nordic Grey Green Planet Heated Overblanket, and the UB 60 Green Planet Heated Underblanket, cosy warmth is now even more sustainable. The textiles on the top and bottom are made from 80 to 100% recycled materials. The controller housings are constructed from up to 50% recycled plastic. The packaging is also more compact and made from 100% recycled cardboard.

We want to focus more on climate protection and take responsibility for ensuring a liveable planet, so we have now firmly integrated this topic into our company guidelines. With its new ‘Green Planet’ range, Beurer is also sending a clear signal that sustainable products and attractive design can be perfectly combined,” says Beurer Managing Director Sebastian Kebbe.

Days and nights of feeling chilly are a thing of the past with the HD 75 Nordic Grey Green Planet Heated Overblanket. You will love both soft outer layers made from 100% recycled material. With six temperature settings available, everyone will find their own preferred heat level. In addition, when used at levels 1 and 2 the product operates in Eco mode and consumes less energy. It also impresses with electronic temperature regulation, the Beurer safety system and automatic switch-off after three hours.

Beurer heat products also have the potential to save you money on your electricity and energy bills. Heat pads, heated overblankets, foot warmers and heated underblankets provide cosy warmth exactly where it is needed. What is special about them is that the user is in direct contact with the heated device, meaning it heats the body rather than the entire room and less energy is lost.

The heat products can therefore be used very efficiently and, overall, can even be more economical than the heating system in the house. That doesn’t just mean a lower electricity bill, because every time you turn down the thermostat a degree, you have the potential to save energy as well.
