Connecting Filipinos to a Better Future
For many Filipinos, connectivity has become a lifeline. The pandemic further highlighted this with many of our lives moving to digital channels, including financial services, education, healthcare and livelihood.
As the need for reliable connectivity and digital services grow, the Globe Group has been in the frontlines, providing first-to-market digital solutions that address Filipinos’ daily pain points.
With its strong legacy as the Philippines’ leading telecommunications provider for almost nine decades, Globe has diversified into a digital solutions group, giving its millions of customers access to essential services through technology.
“I believe the secret to our success is how we’ve taken care of the needs of our customers. It is the people that are at the heart of our service. Everything we do is all about creating a Globe of Good,” said Issa Guevarra-Cabreira, Globe’s Chief Commercial Officer.
In this documentary, Globe’s senior leaders talk about their Purpose-led transformation – innovating with compassion, care, and kindness in service of the Filipino. They shared about their journey and put a spotlight on some of their portfolio companies, including GCash, the country’s #1 financial services app and only double-unicorn business, KonsultaMD, the country’s leading telemedicine platform, and Kickstart Ventures, Globe’s wholly-owned venture capital firm that invests in promising startups who share the same vision of creating a more sustainable future.
“We are very conscious of our role on this planet, of our responsibility to keep delivering life-enabling solutions. Our hope is that by partnering with these companies, we can work towards much more ambitious goals, bigger solutions and tackling bigger problems that perhaps on our own we won’t be able to address,” said Minette Navarrete, Kickstart President.
Globe was the first publicly-listed Philippine-based company to commit to setting science-based targets for scopes 1, 2 and 3, in line with the global Race to Zero campaign.
Its leaders also touched on the progress they’ve made in greening their network, and shared further plans for greening its supply chain, and encouraging energy efficiency across its operations.
The Globe Group’s milestones and sustainability commitments demonstrate its unwavering dedication to creating a positive impact on the lives of Filipinos.
“We came into the pandemic as a company and came out as a group of companies. Our goal is to continuously grow and fortify the Globe Group by providing more products and services that can address the daily struggles of Filipinos through digital solutions at scale,” said Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu.
